We are reminding residents to be vigilant when answering the door to unexpected callers.

Rogue traders often target vulnerable residents, offering services such as roofing, gardening, driveway repairs or gutter cleaning. They may pressure you into making an immediate decision or request payment upfront.

Remember:

✅ Never agree to work from a cold caller without obtaining other quotes.
✅ Ask for identification and verify any credentials.
✅ Do not be pressured into making immediate decisions.
✅ Speak to a trusted family member, friend or neighbour before agreeing to any work.
✅ If in doubt, close the door.
